During the class I show how to make one postcard, students get two designs

Techniques: traditional piecing, decorative stitches, using textile paints, knitting basics, bias binding.

Supply list: Scrap fabrics for the bear block of choice; Knitting needles (2.75mm); 22″ x 11/4″ bias tape for binding (optional); One piece backing fabric, 4″x 6″; Sewing needles, thread, and pins; Pencil or water-soluble marker; Textile paint, black (or dark brown); Embossing tool (1.2mm or 1.8mm) and thin paintbrush (optional); Scissors with sharp tips and pinking shears; Two pieces two-sided fusible stabilizer, 4″ x 6″ each; One piece ultra-firm stabilizer 4″ x 6″; Distress inks and postcard stamp (or micropigment ink pen if you prefer to draw the back of the postcard).

Skill Level: Intermediate.
