Hello, dear creative souls of needle and thread!

Every stitch we make often holds a story, and this time, my story is deeply personal. Inspired by my father’s words and the cherished memories of my family, I created two heartfelt postcards that celebrate the essence of home, love, and gratitude.

The first postcard is a tribute to my mom’s unwavering strength and patience as she awaited my dad’s return from his flights. It portrays a nest with a single bird, symbolizing his constant travels and the love that always waited for him—first from her and now from us all. It reminds me that home isn’t just a place but a feeling, a connection that transcends distance.

The second postcard is a message of deep appreciation for my parents. It’s my way of saying thank you for the love, care, and wings they gave me to fly. Together, these two designs tell a story of family, resilience, and the comfort of knowing where you belong.

On one of the postcards, I wrote:
My dear mommy and daddy, every minute I miss our family nest!!! Wherever we were, you always made it safe and cozy. Thank you for the wings! With love, your Olesya.

If this resonates with your heart, you’ll love creating your own version! Follow the step-by-step tutorial for these meaningful designs on page #42 of Issue 66 of A Needle Pulling Thread.

A heartfelt thank you to Carla! It’s always such a joy to collaborate with you and your amazing team—you make these creative journeys even more special.
