Hi, dreamers and makers!

Choosing the perfect design for this issue was no small task, as I found myself overwhelmed with an abundance of ideas. Sitting at my desk, surrounded by countless sketches, I was lost in the creative process until the perfect design revealed itself to me. And then, it happened—the inspiration struck. The story of The Little Prince, written by the French aristocrat, writer, and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, became the guiding light for my project.

One of my favorite quotes from the tale perfectly encapsulates the magic of this theme:

“All men have stars, but they are not the same things for different people. For some, who are travelers, the stars are guides. For others, they are no more than little lights in the sky. For others, who are scholars, they are problems… But all these stars are silent. You—You alone will have stars as no one else has them.”

The idea of creating a Little Dreamer piece inspired by the stars and the essence of The Little Prince was born. I can’t wait to share the step-by-step tutorial, which you’ll find on pages 34-39 of this issue.

And there’s more! Inside the pages of Issue 62, you’ll discover a galaxy of stellar projects that will leave you awe-inspired and ready to grab your needles. From a mesmerizing starburst quilt to quilts that reimagine the universe itself, there’s something for every quilting enthusiast. Let your imagination soar as you stitch your way through the cosmos, cross-stitching the moon and embroidering the stars.

A heartfelt thank you to Carla, the editor-in-chief of A Needle Pulling Thread, for making this collaboration such a pleasure. It’s always wonderful to work with you and your amazing team!
